The ACCC has just published a new consultation paper for the third amendment to the CDR Rules. This is a weighty tome (which you can download here) running to over 50 pages and introducing more than 20 significant change proposals. They have also released a proposed set of compliance dates for all the changes and a copy of draft rules implementing the proposed changes.

I have prepared a 15 slide summary pack of this paper which you may find useful to gain an overview of the key changes that are proposed. You can download a copy of the pack here: CDR Amendment 3 summary V1.1

The ACCC have given until 29 October for submissions on the consultation paper. There are many questions the ACCC are seeking industry input on and it is worth considering a submission to help them produce a set of rules that are useful for industry and more importantly efficiently implementable. Even if you are 100% comfortable with the proposals, there’s value in providing feedback on how easy or difficult the proposals are to implement in your organisation and which ones you see as a priority.
